Literatual Study on the Goiter(¿µ).

Abstract
|
|
|
The following results were obtained.
1. The etiology of Goiter(¿µ) was neuro-psycogenic factor, geometric factor intemperance in eating, stagnation of phlegm-vital energy, and stasis of blood. The etiology of five-classfied goiter(¿À¿µ) was as follows. Simple goiter(±â¿µ) was neuro-psycogenic factor, toxic goiter(À°¿µ) was stagnation of meridian circulation by phlegm, indurated goiter(¼®¿µ) was combination of depressed vital energy, phlegm, and stasis of blood, goiter with visible varicose veins(±Ù¿µ) and hemangioma of the neck(Ç÷¿µ) was a complication of simple goiter, indurated goiter.
2. Goiter(¿µ) had been classfied three (ú졤ãÓë¿¡¤Ñ¨) on the "General Treatise on the Causes and Symptoms of diseases" ¡¶ð³Ü»ê¹ý¥Öå¡· at first and five (à´¡¤Ñ¨¡¤Ò¾¡¤÷Ï¡¤éØ) on the "Thousand Golden Prescriptions" ¡¶ô¶ÐÝé©Û°¡·. Jin-Eon(òçåë) had classfied five (à´¡¤ë¿¡¤ÐÉ¡¤ú졤Ѩ) on the "Discussion of Pathology based on the triple-etiology Doctrine" ¡¶ß²ì×Û°¡·, it had been regarded standard classification. The modern medical book had classfied three(¿µ·ù, ¿µ³¶, ¿µ±â).
3. The main methods of treatment were "clearing away heat and disperse phlegm" (ôèæðûùÓÃ), "soften the hard lumps and dispel the nodes" (æã̱ߤ̿), and "promote diuresis to reduce edema"(ì¦â©á¼ðþ).
The methods of five-classfied goiter(¿À¿µ) treatment were as follows.
Simple goiter(±â¿µ) was "lung-energy should be kept pure and descendant"(ôèøËѨ), "disperse the depressed liver-energy and rectify it"(áÂÊÜìµÑ¨), toxic goiter(À°¿µ) was "regulate vital energy and alleviate mental depression"(ìµÑ¨ú°ê¦), "dissipate phlegm and soften the hard lumps(ûùÓÃæã̱), indurated goiter(¼®¿µ) was "dissipate phlegm and soften the hard lumps"(ûùÓÃæã̱), goiter with visible varicose veins(±Ù¿µ)ID was "clear away liver heat and alleviate mental depression¢¥¢¥(ôèÊÜú°ê¦), "enrich blood and relax the tendons"(å×úìà¢ÐÉ), hemangioma of the neck(Ç÷¿µ) was "cool the blood and enrich blood"(ÕØúìå×úì), "inhibit the fire and nourish yin"(åäûùí²ëä).
4. The main prescriptionst were ÷ò̿ߤ ãêüùËÒ̿ߤ ìÑ߸ûù¿µÓ¡ ߤðþÏ÷̱÷· úðÝè¬û¾÷· ä¨ë»Ú«×µÑ¨ëæ ù¾Í½ß¤ and so on.
As if five goiter(¿À¿µ) classfied, it was as follows.
Simple goiter(±â¿µ) was a ÷×Ѩߤ̱ü¯ ÞÌúà¢ê¦ü¯Ê¥Êõ ¿µ×»ü¯ ä¨îï׵Ѩëæ ðÝեߤ and so on, toxic goiter(À°¿µ) was úðÝñÑÛ° ìÑ߸ûù¿µÓ¡ ÏýÞ¡÷·Ê¥Ú« ÞÌúà¢ê¦ü¯Ê¥Êõ and so on, indurated goiter(¼®¿µ) was úðÝè¬Óæ÷·Ê¥Êõ ûÐÚÖýÙ×£Ó¡ ÷ò̿ߤ and so on, goiter with visible varicose veins(±Ù¿µ) was ÐÙæåì£Ù½ü¯, hemangioma of the neck(Ç÷¿µ) was úðÝè¬û¾÷·Ê¥Êõ and so on.
5. The goiter(¿µ) was regarded as thyroid endocrine disease.
Simple goiter(±â¿µ) is simple goiter, toxic goiter(À°¿µ) is benign goiter indurated goiter(¼®¿µ) is thyroid cancer, goiter with visible varicose veins(±Ù¿µ) and hemangioma of the neck(Ç÷¿µ) are a complication of simpli goiter, indurated goiter.
